A picture of my playing
Vivaldi Summer at the
concert at the Cerisano
(Italy) Music Course

Busy day...went out to Wildwood Manor house and practiced with Linda on the
Suite Italienne. We even recorded it!! It is fun to play it in that room, but it is a
little dark...hehe..they need some big lights in there!!

Well, I must run...but the concert is coming closer and closer, so remember to put
Thursday, October 28, 2004 on your calendars at 7:30 at the Wildwood Manor
House!! It will be fun, and Linda and I are playing the Suite Italienne for the first
time!!!

             October 14, 2004

Woo hoo...two days in a row, I'm on my way to a rythm!! hehe :) Well, anyways,
this morning I ran for about 45 mi. and then came home and practiced for about 2
hours. Then I practiced with Linda on the Suite Italienne. I practiced some more
this afternoon for orchestra, but when I went there I found out orchestra had been
cancelled today, so here I am writing in my journal!!!

The concert is geting closer and closer...and there are still so many things to do!
Oh well, I will survive..hehe!! Everything is coming along quite nicely, so I am
not really worried, it is just that around this time things begin to get hectic!

Well, I will write later (as in tomorrow)! BYE!!

             October 13, 2004

I know, I know...it has been FOREVER since I last wrote! I have been doing sooo
much..it is all very very very crazy! I have had an orchestra concert, lots of
practicing, lots of running, some bike riding, violin lessons, and I started a new
excercise class called Jazzercise..it is really fun!!!

Well, I have practice now, so I must go, but I promise to try to write more
frequently!!! BYE!!

             Sept. 22, 2004

Hello all! Just a quick note to summarize my day. It will be quick because my
student Eileen shall be here v. v. soon!

Well, anyways, this morning my day began promptly at 6:30. I ran this morning
all the way down to the three horses at the University of Toledo. This morning
I practiced for about four hours before my lesson with Cheryl at 12:30 and then
practiced later for another 45 min. to an hour (not quite sure how long). As I said
before, my student is comeing now, so I must go!!! BYE!

             September 21, 2004

Hello. Well, today has been interesting. It started out at 6:30 in the morning.
I ran at 7 o'clock, I took a shower, then I warmed up for my rehearsal with
Linda, then later in the afternoon I had a rehearsal with Anna on Breccia, and
soon I will be off to orchestra.

My practices went really well. The one with Linda went great. It is really fun
to play the Suite Italienne with a real pianist. The rehearsal with Anna was
good. The piece is coming along. It is just that we are still in a hard stage,
we still have to get everything together,a nd she still has to learn a lot of
stuff.

Well, I must be off to orchestra!!! BYE!!!

             September 17, 2004

Hello everyone! I am back form my dad's house in DeKalb, IL! Life has
been busy busy busy!! I am in the University of Toleod Orchestra and
have two rehearsals every week, I have two lessons a week, and many
rehearsals with group members, the group all together, with Linda
Smith, and my Uncle Cliff. Everything is going well, and is all really fun!!

Anna and I have started a new project! We are playing the new violin and
cello duo called Breccia!! It is sooo much fun, and a lot more complex
than Cheltenham X. If you want to hear it go to...

www.cs-music.com

and then go to the What's New section!

Well, I must run!! Talk to y'all later!!

             August 30, 2004

Well, hello everybody!!! I am finally back in Toledo for good...or atleast
for right now!! This summer has been jam packed with wonderful things!!

First I went to Soundfest in Falmouth, Mass., a quartet camp at which we
all got coachings from members of the Colorado String Quartet. We also
got coachings with members of the Marian Anderson String Quartet, the
Eastman Quartet, and the Kalliope Quartet! It was amazing! I went with
Claire and Anna from the group. We got to fly to Boston and then take a
bus to Falmouth all by ourselves! Falmouth, Mass. is this beautiful place in
Cape Cod about an hour and fifteen minutes from Boston. We had daily
practice and coachings with our two quartets. I was in one quartet called
Crease-Man & Co. (don't ask about the name, there is a long story) and
Warped Bow (our cellist had a really warped bow, and we thought the name
sounded cool!). In C-M & Co. we played the D major Op.44 No. 1 by
Mendelssohn and in Warped Bow we played a Grieg Lyric Suite
arranged for string quartet and also some very early Hayden quartets!

After Sounfest I went back to Toledo for a day and a half to pack, and
then I was on my way again to a very different place! I was off to Italy.
I psent a week and a half or so on the beach and with some family, and then
I went to a music camp in Cerisano. This music camp was for violinists
and cellists. I met some really great people, and I learned a lot! I learned
all about solfeggio and the Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si. This camp was held
in a huge and very old palace called the Palazzo Sersale. I had daily lessons
with Eugenio Pret and sometimes with another teacher called Maria Piro.
Practice started at 9 or 9:30 in the morning every day and ended for a lunch
break at 1:30. Then, it started back up again at 3:30 until 8:30. In that time
we had our lessons, had our group practices, had individual practice, and
were allowed to take breaks! At the final concert we all played our own
solos as well as the group pieces. I got to play Vivaldi Summer with the
teachers accompanying me, it was amazing! Practically my entire family was
there to watch me too!! After camp was over I stayed with my cousins
at the beach for 5 more days before I went to Rome for one night and left
the next morning from the airport on an airplane all by myself!!

When I got home I stayed in Toledo for four days before I went to my dad's
house in DeKalb, near Chicago. I was there for three weeks, and I now I am
home. The summer is over, and school work is about to presume. Today I
had my first violin lesson with Merwin, so things seem to be getting back
to teh norm. Well, I really must go now, but I will begin trying to write daily
entries of my musical life!! BYE!!

             June 7, 2004

Hello. Today has been an odd and a tiring day. I haven't felt so great...a bit
of a stomach ache. I ran this morning for only 30 min. due to the ache.
I practiced for four and a half hours.

I even had to cancel my lesson because of the ache. I could barely stand up,
so we had to call Merwin and cancel.

This are getting really busy because of these upcoming concerts!!! Remember,
everyone is invited to the Wildwood concert, so for info. go back to my front
page and click on the hot button right beneath the one for my diary!!!

I'll talk to everyone later, and I hope to see you at the concert!!! BYE!

              June 2, 2004

Today has been a v. v. gloomy day!! I haven't seen the sun at all!! Well,
anyways. This morning I ran for 30 min. I could have run longer, but I
had started late, and I had to get home, take a shower, and start to practice.

I practiced for four hours and fifteen min. today. I know that it is no record,
but it will do!!

Well, I must run, Eillen (my student) will be here v.v. soon!! I must be ready!!
BYE!!

              May 31, 2004

Hello. Today was a nice day!! The rain has held off up till now. I ran this
morning for 30 min. and I practiced for four hours. Anna came right after
I practiced and we practiced Cheltenham Xb. I also had a violin lesson
with Merwin this afternoon.

Well, nothing much else to say right at this moment!! Hope that everyone
had a great Memorial Day!!! BYE!!!

              May 29, 2004

Hi everybody! Well, this morning I had a nice 45 min. run!!! But I also walked
around the neihborhood with my friends all afternoon, so that also counts
as excersise!!!! haha

I practiced like 4 and a half hours this morning, but I also did my French end
of year project which was playing the Soldier at the Brook by Stravinsky
from the L'hisoire du Soldat!! That was some fun stuff!!

Well, I must go, I need to prepare for the group coming tomight!! BYE!!

              May 28, 2004

Yea!!! The weekend is finally here!!! Woo hoo!!! Well, this morning I ran for
35 min. and practiced for four hours and thirty min.

In an hour I will be off to play in Cheryl's recital. I will be playing the Bach
Sarabande from the Partita No. 1. I might also play the last double, but that
all depends on how much time I have and how many people are playing
in the recital and all!!

Well, I must run, but I will write tomorrow!! BYE!!

              May 27, 2004

Hi!! Today has been a day of perfect length. Not too much to do, and yet not
to little (it never is too little though...hehe). I ran this morning, but I was still
a bit under the weather (I think it's allergies), so it wasn't a very long run.
30 min. tops. I also practiced this morning for about four hours and fifteen
min.

Later on in the afternoon Jon came over to work on Move Over. It is going much
better, and we have it more together than before!!!

Yesterday Anna came over to work on Corelli and Cheltenham Xb. That also went
well, and we are excited that we will be able to perform Cheltenham Xb more that
we had thought since we are doing it at teh Aeolus festival. We are looking for the
perfect outfit for the festival, but we are still not sure. Cliff thinks that we should have
coat tail, but then feminize it. That would be really cool, but where would we find
coats with tails?? Who knows, we'll have to look around.

Oh, and remember to come to the Aeolus festival that we are playing at. It is at the
Art Museum in the Great Gallery at 6:00 PM on Friday, June 4, 2004!!! Well, I must
go!! Talk to y'all later!!

               May 24, 2004

Hey!! Well, I just got home a bit ago from my concerto competition. It was
fun, but I got really nervous at first!!!hehe

Well, this morning my run was a bit short at liek 30 min. and my practicing
was about four hours and then Linda came to practice later for the concerto
competition.Fun Fun!!

Everything is going really great!! I hope to be able to write more tomorrow

birnt out. Really long day!! BYE!!

               May 20, 2004

HI!!! I am in a real hurry because I am off to the Mahler rehearsal in a couple
of minutes, but I just wanted to say that I ran 45 min. this morning and
practiced or 4 hours on all the stuff that I have been working on!!

I also wanted to say, remember to look at my new MP3 on my front page,
at the very top under 'New Recordings'. Well, I got run!! I am tres busy!!
( I know know tres has an accent, but I have no clue how to do that!!)
BYE!!!

               May 18, 2004

Wow!!! I can't believe that this day has gone by so fast!! It is the middle
of the day, and I have already run for 45 min., practiced for 4 hours,
practiced with Linda on the piano, and done tons more work on other
stuff.

Well, anyways, that has been my day up until now. No worries, I have much
more to do before I sleep!! haha. No big deal!

Oh, well, this Wednesday afternoon I hope to go to the Mahler strings rehearsal

I must go now, for I am tres busy! BYE!

               May 17, 2004

had a lesson with Merwin today where we worked on a variety of things.

and we worked on Bach.

It was such a GORGEOUS day today!! Oh my goodness, it was beatiful,
so this afternoon I went outside and ran a little bit more and then just sat
around out in my backyard doing work!!

Well, I must go now. I'll talk to you later!! BYE!!

                May 10, 2004

HI!! Today I felt really junky so my run was cut a bit short. Only 20 min.
I then practiced for 4 hours before going to my violin lesson with Merwin.

When I got home I practiced a bit more then went on to do some stuff that
needed to get done. Then, at 5:30, Anna came and we worked on Cheltenham
Xb for an hour by ourselves and then an hour with Cliff. Then when she left I ate

                May 7, 2004

Hi!! Well, toda has been a fairly long day. And at this moment I am totally
and utterly exhausted.

I ran for 40 min., practiced for 5 hours, did lots of work, and then went to
a concert this evening. It might not sound like a lot, but trust me on this one,
it is!!!

Well, I'm going to bed now to get a good night's sleep! BYE!

                May 6, 2004

Hi! Well, I am exhausted, yet I still have many more hours before I can
sleep!! Well, this morning I ran for 40 min., practiced for 4 hours, went
to orchestra for two and a half hours, and not I have another practice.
But that's fine with me I guess. Just really quite tiring.

Well, I must run, but I wanted to fill you in on the happenings over here
in old T-town!! BYE!!

                May 5, 2004

Hello. Nice day today. A little chilly, but I have no complaints!! Well,
this morning I wasn't feeling so good, so my run was cut a bit short, but
I did as much as I could. I also practiced this morning for the usual amount
of four hours. I will be doing a bit more later throughout the day, but
at the moment I am trying to get lots of stuff done. So, that's my life
at the moment. Busy and hectic would be two good words to descibe
it!! hehe!

Well, I must go and prepare for my student today. BYE!!

                May 4, 2004

Woo hoo!! The Monday Musicale concert is done!! It was really fun
though, and Linda and I played really well!! I also got to talk to a great
pianist, Samantha Biniker, and we might start playing a little bit of stuff
together. Who knows when though, because both of our schedules are
really busy!

But anyway..my day has been good! I ran for 25 min. this morning. I know,
I know, not a lot, but I had to get home and practiced so I could get my
usual four hours in since we had to leave for Brandywine Country Club
(where the luncheon was held) at 11:30.

Well, more of the day to go, so I must leave!! I hope everyone is having

is much more of it!!! woo...long breaths and I will get through it!! hehe

Well, I ran for 40 min. this morning and then practiced for four hours
by myself. Immediatelt following practice I went to Linda's house to
rehearse with her for the De Fall tomorrow, and immediately following
that I went to my violin lesson at which we waited for 20 min. for Merwin
and then left. When we got home we called Merwin and he ended up
being in Chicago, and had forgotten to tell us. And now here I am writing.

And tonight I have orchestra rehearsal to look forward to!! hehe..well,
that has and will be my day!! Talk to you all tomorrow after I am done
witht the luncheon. Wish me luck!!! :)

                April, 24, 2004

Hi!! Well, I just got done with the gorup rehearsal! We worked on
Move Over. We are finally beginning ot get it, but it is taking a lot
of work!!!

Well, in the morning I ran for 30 min. but then in the afternoon my
friend and I took a really long walk, so I got lots of excercise
in today!!

This morning I practiced for four hours, and then I practiced another
hour in the afternoon, so I got my five hours in!!! Woo hoo!! :)

I went to both concerts yesterday at the museum. The Australian
chamber Orchestra was sooo amazing..it was like wow!!! Everything
was really great!!!

Well, got to go!!! BYE!!!! :)

                April, 23, 2004

Hey everybody!! Things are going great here!! I have already been
practicing for three hours, and am on my break!! Still more to go,
but it is going really well!!! This morning I ran for 45 min. and it
felt great being outside! That must be why I'm in such a good mood!!!

Well, tonight I wil lbe going to either a Monday Musicale concert
or the Australian Chamber Orchestra. We still are not sure, but at
least there is a choice. It is all really exciting!!!

Well, got to get back to practicing!!!!!! BYE!

                April 22, 2004

Howdy!! Well, I am in the middle of practicing, but during my break
I thought I would write and fill you in!! I ran this morning for 40 min.
I also have been practicing for two hours...but there is a lot more
to come right after I finish this entry!!

This week I have been listening to the Sibelius Concerto since there
is a woman coming to play it with the orchestra. I will be going to the
rehearsal for it next Thursday, so I have to know it!!

Tonight Claire will be coming over for rehearsal, so I will be practicing
Cheltenham IX getting ready for her to come over and play it together.

So, I better be off to practicing!! I wonder, if anyone knows please
email me, but is it more efficient to practice standing or sitting???
hmmm...I wonder!!! Bye!!

                April 21, 2004

Hi!! I had a big morning! I woke up early, ran for 30 min. ( no time
for more), practiced for an hour, went to orchestra where we played
two concerts until 12:15, had a violin lesson, and then practiced more!
Woo...it makes me tire just thinking of it all!! haha :) It was fun though!

Well, I have to go and prepare a lesson for Eilleen! Bye!

                April 20, 2004

Wow! The days are just flying by. Yesterday was a long day. I ran
in the morning for 40 min., I practiced for four hours, then I had a
violin lesson with Merwin, then Trang came over for practice, then
I practiced some more, and finally to top the day off I went to
orchestra for two and a half hours!! As I said, long day.

Today the day has just begun, but I have already run for 45 min. and
practiced for an hour. I am on break for a couple min., so I thought
I would write. Well, off to practicing!! Bye!

                April 17, 2004

Hello everybody!! Wow! The weather has been great!! I have been
running and hanging outside in the morning and afternoon! Woo
Hoo!!!

I practiced today for 4 and a half hours again, but yesterday I did
the whole five! I've been working on the Stravinsy Suite Italienne,
Bach Partita No. 1, De Falla Spanish Folksongs, and the lots of
warm up exercises!!

Well, I gotta go now! Toodles!!

                April 15, 2004

Hi!!! Sorry that I didn't write yesterday!! I was really busy, but I did
all my usual things! Today I ran for 45 min. in teh morning. It was a
bit brisk out, but it is supposed to be warmer now, so I might take
another jog a little later this afternoon. I practiced for about 4 and
a half hours. I am trying to work it up to five hours. But with five
hours I will have to split it up throughout the day instead of practicing
one straight shot in the mornings with little breaks after every hour.

Well, tonight I have a rehearsal with Anna at 6 and another one with
Claire at 7:30, so I must be off to do the other things that I must do
today! Bye!!

                April 13, 2004

Today I practiced all morning, so for about four hours. I also ran for
about 30 min. today. It was so cold that it was hard to run any more
than that! I practiced the usual things, Bach Sarabande, Stravinsky
Suite Italienne, and Vivaldi "Summer".

Well, I don't have much else to say, I just had to report the day's
happenings. I'll write again tomorrow!

                April 12, 2004

I'm back!! Everything is back to same old here. I have two rehearsals
today, one with Trang and one with Anna.

I practiced all morning and ran for 45 min. I have a lesson this afternoon
with Merwin, so I did a lot of the things that he wanted, and will be
bringing the Suite Italienne by Stravinsky for my lesson. That will be
fun!!

Well, not much else to say right now...OH...sorry...my trip. I practiced
every day in the morning just like I do at home except for yesterday since
we had to leave so early to meet my mom in Elkhart, Indiana. But I did
practice when I got home!!

Alright, now I am really done!! I'll write again tomorrow!!!

               April 4, 2004

I am writing really early in the day, but I wanted to say that I won't be
writing my journal for the next week because I will be at my father's
house and will have no access to a computer that I can do website
stuff with! SORRY!!

Well, anyways, yesterday the group rehearsal went really well. We got
through the entire third ovement of the Vivaldi Summer and it isn't
sounding that bad, it is actually pretty good! We still have a lot of stuff
to do (like a much faster tempo), but we are on a roll!

I will write when I get back!! BYE!!!

               April 2, 2004

As of yesterday I am officially fifteen! YAY!! I also found out yesterday
that I got a scholarship from the audition that I did last thursday for the
Youth Orchestra! YAY!!! I had a really great day...everything was soo
great!

But today is back to working really hard! Yesterday I practiced, but I
didn't do as much as usual. It was fun though, because I am playing some
really fun stuuf! I am doing some more Bach Unaccompanied Violin,
lots of Stravinsky (which is the best!!), and Vivaldi "Summer"!

Well, I practiced today for four hours and ran for 40 min. More work
to do, so I'm off! BYE!!

               March 31, 2004

1 more day and I will be 15! Woo hoo!

Well, today I practiced all morning on my Bach Partita 1 and Vivaldi
"Summer". Those were the two main things that I practiced, but I also
did scales and exercises. I also ran a bit, but it was so gross outside that
I came back in, and plan to go back out in a bit! I still ran for twenty
minutes though!

Another gloomy day, but that's okay!! :) Alrighty, well I will go do some
more work! Talk to you again tomorrow!

               March 30, 2004

Two more days and I turn 15!! yay!

OK, anyways, today I practiced for three and a half hours and ran for
40 min. I am soooo worn out! hehe Don't ask, it must just be the
gloomy day!

Well, I still have tons to do before I sleep! :) I promise that I will write
more about daily life tomorrow, I am just really busy! BYE!

               March 29, 2004

I know, I know, it has been an extremely looooong time! I am sooo
sory! Life has been very very hectic. First I was cooling down after
the concert, then I was getting ready for my audtion this past Thursday,
then my best friend came into town from Corvallis, Oregon, and the
the chamber orchestra had like a full day rehearsal and concert! So,
it has all been very crazy, so I didn't write! But here I am, I'm back!

I am back to practicing my regular amount, and I am running too!
It's all very fun to get back into the same old routine again! hehe!

Talk to y'all later...like tomorrow! Bye!

               March 23, 2004

WOW!! So much has happened since the last entry! I had a oncert
and it was great and now I am still totally exhausted from it and I'm
working on new pieces and everything!

Well anyway back to the concert...all the practicing paid off! If went
great and we all had lots of fun!! The people really enjoyed it too!
My student play her piece wonderfully and I was sooo proud and
now we can move on to a nee piece and I'm sure she will be happy!

Well, I will write more later!! But I had to update everyone on all the
happenings!! Bye!

               March 19, 2004

Here is the Spring Concert poster and program...

Hello everybody! I am sooo extremely sorry about missing this entire
week! It has been soooooo busy. With the concert on Sunday and
rehearsals with the group and other stuff time has just flown by. I have
kept up my running but I haven't upped the time yet, I will do that after
the concert. I have been practicing the ususal amount on the usual things.

I have a scholarship audition next week for Youth Orchestra, and I found
out last night that I will also be doing a concerto competion at the end of
or middle of May, so that should all be fun! I mean lots of playing in front
of people, which I guess is prety good so I can get over the nervous
aspect of it all.

The trio on Anna, Claire, and I have turned down a wedding (unfortunately)
in the past week and also gained the possibily of another (that we can do if
offered the job!). Yay! We are also talking about setting up a firm rehearsal
time down and beginning to play more in cafes and just out and about for
the experience. Mr. Greeblatt has offered that we play at Barry's Bagels
(the big bagel shop in town) and my mother's friend who owns a coffe house
has said that we are welcome as well! Hopefully we wil be able to get lots of
playing done around town.

Alright! Well, I will talk to you all tomorrow!! Bye!

               March 12, 2004

Hi! Today I practiced for four hours and ran for 35 min.! I worked
on Vivaldi, Beethoven, Mazas, and De Falla.

Today I would like to honor a great violinist who passed away in
1999, Yehudi Menuhin. This is a page honoring him on the BBC
website.

Alright, well have a good night!!

               March 10, 2004

Hi!! Alright, well, today I practiced the normal 4 hours and ran for
about 25 min. I know that I dind't run much, but I have been really
tired these past two days!

I also had a lesson with Cheryl Trace today. We worked on the Vivaldi
"Spring" and the Mazas exercise that I have been working on for the
scholarship audition at the end of March.

Alrighty, I must go now! More later! Bye!

Here's a picture of the Schoenberg score and the program that I had
Nikolaj Znaider autograph...

               March 7, 2004

This is what I was doing this morning!!!!

New--Cheltenham Xb (RealAudio)

Anna Gale on cello

Concert this afternoon. I played the De Fall with Linda!!! It went
very good...everyone really liked it!! :) And I had fun..so yeah!
Talk to y'all tomorrow! Have a good night!

               March 5, 2004

Hey! This morning I ran for 40 min. and practiced for 3 hours. I am in
middle of pratice and am taking a break, so no worries, I'm not sluffing
off! I just thought that I would write since my mom isn't teaching at the
moment and I could use the computer!

Okie Doke, well, not much to announce! I'll write more later or tomorrow
depending on how busy the day is! Bye!

               March 4, 2004

Hi!!! Today I ran for 35 min. and practiced for four hours. Not much
to report. I practiced the usual things.

I had a great rehearsal with Anna. We worked on Cheltenham X. We
are hoping to get it really good, so she will be coming over again just
me and her on Sunday morning before the Monday Musicale thing
that I have in the afternoon.

I won a scholarship from Monday Musicale! V. exciting! I just found out
today because the head of the group called to tell me. They even invited me
to play for one of their luncheons at their country club!! Sounds like fun to
me!! Well, I'll to to you later!!!

               March 2, 2004

I have two photos for everyone today!!

               March 1, 2004

Today I practiced for four hours and ran for 30 min. I practiced the
Beethoven, the De Falla, and the Vivaldi "Spring" Concerto.

I also went to orchestra today and we had our usual two and a half
hour rehearsal. The first half was the full orchestra and the second
half was the chamber orchestra. Alrighty then, well, not much to say.
I'll talk to you tomorrow.

               February 29, 2004

Wow!! Yay! Today is over! I had a scholarship audition today and
I was really nervous. It is sooo nice not to be nervous anymore. All
I have to do is wait for the results!

Well, today I practiced for a really long time! I don't even really know
how much. I was so nervous I wanted to know the Bach Allemande
and the selections from the De Falla perfectly! I even ran a bit in the
morning for like 25 min. I know, I know, not a long time, but I was
nervous!

My audition went really well too. I did my thing and smiled and then left.
I was really happy with it, and I was so happy it was over that when I was
out of sight of the judges I did a little jumpy dance thing. Now thinking back
to it I must ahve looked really weird! Allrighty, well anyway, I'll talk to you
all tomorrow! Bye!

               February 26, 2004

Today has been a slow going day. I practiced for three and a half
hours and ran for 25 min. Today I practiced the Bach Allemande,
Beethoven "Spring", and the De Falla.

Today I worked with Linda on the piano during the De Falla for
about an hour or so over at her house so that we could hear it on
a real piano instead of an electric piano.

Well, I will write more tomorrow. Talk to you later!

               February 25, 2004

Today I practiced for four hours and ran for 40 min. I practiced
the same same things, but I added my Mazas exercise.

I have been reading the story of 'The Paris' by Mozart in Italian,
but am trying to translate it into English. I will translate a couple
sentences each day. Or at least I will try!!

               February 24, 2004

Today I practiced for four hours and ran for 30 min. I worked on the
same stuff as yesterday since that is the stuff that I am focusing on for
this week and my Monday Musicale audition this coming Sunday.

I also worked at night on my Beethoven for about 2 and a half
hours. Long day past and long day to come. Talk to you tomorrow.

               February 23, 2004

Today I practiced for 4 hours and ran for 35 min. I worked on the
Beethoven "Spring", and my Bach Allemande,  and I also worked
with Londa on the De Falla.

I had a lesson today with Merwin where we worked on the Beethoven.

I also went to orchestra today for three hours where we had sectionals
with members of the Toledo Symphony.

Sorry this is so brief but I must go to bed now! Goodbye!

              Overview of my trip

Hello everybody! I'm back! I had an amazing time this past week and
weekend. First of all on Wednesday, Thursday, and part of Friday
I was in Urbana. I practiced for about 3 hours in the morning each
day while my mom went to the training course. And then later we went
around town having lots of fun. In the evening I got to hang out with
one of my oldest friends Aimee whom I have known since I was like
three years old.

On Friday I had an Alexander lesson with Joan Murray, which was great!
They are so much fun, and I absolutely love seeing Joan and Alex! Then
later my Dad picked me up and we drove up to DeKalb where I hung out
with my Dad, Katie, and Lucio.

On Saturday my dad and I went to Chicago where we spent the day. At night
we went to hear the Chicago Symphony! They were amazing! It was great! I
love watching them! And then afterwards I got my program sighned by Nikolaj
Znaider, the soloinst on the Shoenberg Violin Concerto.

             February 17, 2004

Today I am leaving for Urbana, IL, so I won't be able to write about
my daily musical events, but when I return on Sunday I will go straight
to the computer and tell y'all everything that happened!

Today I have already practiced for two hours and ran for 30 minutes.
I will be doing more right after I get off the computer, but I thought
I would write just incase I had to leave before writing. But don't
worry everybody. By the time I leave I will have practiced for four
hours.

Okie Dokie. I bis you all farewell for five days!! :Muah: to all of you!
Bye!!! Have a great week! :)

             February 16, 2004

and some Vivaldi.

I worked with Linda to day on the De Falla.

I had a lesson today with Merwin and worked on the Beethoven
with him.

And then tonight I worked with Uncle Cliff again on the Beethoven.

of it in the days to come! Goodnight!!

             February 15, 2004

Hi!!! Today I practiced for about 3 and a half hours. I ran for about
30 minutes. I worked on all the usual things!

Alrighty then. I'm going to bed now!!! Talk to everyone tomorrow!

             February 14, 2004

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!!

Today was a good day. I ran in the morning then practiced for about
four hours. After practicing I baked extremely yummy V-Day cookies.

Today I also worked with Anna (cello) for about two hours. We worked
on both Cheltenham Xb and soem of our most recent Corelli.

Then at night Uncle Cliff came and worked with me on the Vivaldi "Spring".

             February 13, 2004

Oh goodness. Today has been a long bad day. I guess there really
is some truth about Friday the 13th. hehe

Well anyway, I practiced for 3 hours today. I worked on my Mazas
exercise, Beethoven, and orchestra music.

Tonight my mom and I went to a concert in which one of my teachers
played. It had some odd combinations, but all in all it was interesting!

Oh, and on a cheery note, I recieved a new besk and stool today
on which I can begin writing out the part for the Vivaldi Spring for
the group!

Alrighty. I will write again tomorrow, but cheerio for now!!

             February 12, 2004

Wow! Today has seemed like a long day. I practiced for about 3 and a
half hours. I did the same thing as yesterday except I practiced a little
orchestra music too.

I went to hear a master class done by Midori. It was really fun and she
gave a lot of good comments to the four people that she worked with.

It is really late, so I will go now and write more tomorrow. Goodnight!

             February 11, 2004

I will write all about my day later, but listen to the Bach Presto  (700K)
which I have been working on!!

Okie dokie, so today I practiced for about 4 hours. I did the Vivaldi, Bach
Presto and Allemande, a Mazas exercise, and Beethoven "Spring".

Woohoo!!! I am done with my Interlochen audittion CD. It will be off in the
mail tomorrow. And it will be on this website in the comeing week! YAY!

And I had a lesson with Cheryl at which we worked on the Mazas exercise
which is a Polonaise.

Alrighty, well I'm off. Talk to you tomorrow!

             February 10, 2004

Phew! I'm tired today. I practically had to drag myself out of bed to go
running, but I went. I ran for another 35 minutes today.

I practiced for another four hours today. I did practically the same things
as yesterday. I did the Bach Allemande and Presto, my Mazas
Polonaise, and the Beethoven "Spring" Sonata.

I still have the night of finishing my audition tape. Wish me luck! I hoepe to
have it finished!!

I will be so tired I hope I don't slip on the ice!!! :) hehe Talk to y'all later.

            February 9, 2004

Today has been a long day.

I ran for 35 min.

I practiced for 4 hours. I worked on the Bach Presto, Bach Allemande,
De Falla with Linda my accompaniest, and soem Beethoven "Spring"
Violin Sonata.

I also went to orchestra today for another 2 and half hours, so I am really
tired right about now. I'll tell all again tomorrow.

           February 8, 2004

Today I practiced three hours in the morning with a couple breaks
throughout. During this time I worked on the Vivaldi, which is
starting to at least show the signs of hope, De Falla, some of
my Mozart Cadenza, and my Bach Allemande. Pretty much
the same as yesterday, just a little different.

This week I plan to focus a bit more on the Bach Presto so that
I can get it!! So, I'll try to do it for like a bit more than an hour
every day.

Okay!! I'm off...I'll tell all tomorrow!!! [Oh, and I ran for like forty
five minutes.] And I'm listening to the Schönberg Violin Concerto
Op. 36...getting ready for the Chicago Symphony!!

 February 7, 2004

The highlights of my musical day were practicing in the morning,
having rehearsal with Claire, and working on my audition tape
with Uncle Cliff.

At around 9:30 am. I practiced for about two hours and a half.
I practiced "Spring" by Vivaldi, De Falla, and the Bach
Allemande from the first Partita.

Claire and I practiced for about two hours today. We worked
on our Bartok Duets, Cheltenham X, and we tried a bit of
"Spring" just to see how it sounded.

The audition tape is an ongoing production! hehe

  November 30, 2004

Hello! I have recorded two more pieces which I have been practicing...
please listen and enjoy these MP3s of Agitata da Due Venti by Vivaldi
and Op. 5 No.10 Preludio by Corelli!!

(I know I know, I write that every day), but at the moment I am totally

Oh, well, this Wednesday afternoon I hope to go to the Mahler strings rehearsal
and on Thurday night I hope to go to the full orchestra rehearsal. FUn, fun!!
I must go now, for I am tres busy! BYE!

               May 17, 2004

HI!!! Well, woooo, this weekend has been long. I haven't written because
I have been at my dad's house in DeKalb, IL, so that is why I didn't write!

This morning I ran for 45 min. and practiced for 4 and a half hours. I also
had a lesson with Merwin today where we worked on a variety of things.
I got to ask him some questions and work on lots of stuff.

Well, this week I will be going to hear some of the Mahler rehearsals with
the orchestra, and I really can't wait, because I want to hear how they
sound!!!

I got to go now, but I will write more tomrrow (hopefull with more detail!!)!
BYE!!!

                May 12, 2004

HELLOOO!!! Well, this morning I ran for 40 min., and then practiced for
4 and a half hours. After I practiced I went and had a lesson with Cheryl
and we worked on Bach.

Then when she left I ate
and then worked with Cliff for a couple of hours.

Well, gotta run!! Talk to you later. Lots of concerts coming up. If you live in the
Toledo area please come!! Anna and I will be perforning Cheltenham Xb
at the museum for the Aeolus fesitval June 4 at 6:30. And then the group and

                May 7, 2004

Just really quite tiring.

in old T-town!! BYE!!

                May 5, 2004

I hope everyone is having
an amazing day, because at this very moment I am feeling like a princess!!

I did the Vivaldi, Bach

which is a Polonaise.

I am back to practicing my regular amount, and I am running too!
It's all very fun to get back into the same old routine again! hehe!

I worked

website.

Alright, well have a good night!!

               March 10, 2004

"Spring" and the Mazas exercise that I have been working on for the
scholarship audition at the end of March.

Alrighty, I must go now! More later! Bye!

Here's a picture of the Schoenberg score and the program that I had

is some truth about Friday the 13th.

I will write all about my day later, but listen to the Bach Presto  (700K)

running, but I went.

I practiced for 4 hours. I worked on the Bach Presto, Bach Allemande,
De Falla with Linda my accompaniest, and soem Beethoven "Spring"

The audition tape is an ongoing production! hehe
