June 14, 2005

Time has not only been flying it has been zooming...it is CRAZY!! I leave
in half an hour!!!! I can't believe it..I am going to NYC and then to camp!
I am SOOOOOO excited!!! You can't imagine how excited I am...it
will be sooo fun! Alirghty, I'll stop now, I'm just being hyper!!

Well, I will be gone for a looooong time, so I'll wirte the minute I get back
home in August!! Have an AMAZING summer!!

WOW..the time has really been flying~!! I can't believe that I haven't written
in three days...I apologize. Things have been absolutely crazy..rehearsals
have been pretty constant. I've had long reherasals at Wildwood with Olga,
I've had a violin lesson with Merwin, group rehearsals, just me rehearsals...
so that has been my life!!

Today is the Wildwood Manor House Concert..so everyone who can come
should definitely come...it is at 7:30 PM. It is going to be a really good one...
lots of fun!

Well, I must practice now...but remember the concert tonight..it will be an event
not to miss!!!

Hello! I apologize for not writing for two days. Life has been very very busy.
Yesterday we had the house concert and it went wonderfully, now all we need
is for the Wildwood concert to go in the same way and it will be great!!

Today I will practice this morning, have a violin lesson with Merwin (at which I
would like him to work with me on my quartet music..Mozart and Dvorak), and
then a rehearsal tonight. Between that I will be hanging around dying of heat..
hehe..just kidding!!

I hope everyone a a wonderful hot and humid day!! :)

HI!! Yesterday didn't go so well, so let's hope that today goes a bit better.
I have a rehearsal with Linda at 10 over at UT so, I really must go practice,
so, I promise to write more later...it's just that we're working on the Stravinsky
and Bortok so I must be warmed up!!

Hello everybody! Well..today I have lots of practice to do this mornng, a
rehearsal with Grace this afternoon, and then a reheasal with Olg. At Olga's
rehearsal I am going to bring my laptop to try and record us to see how it
all sounds! I hope I can get it to work!!

HAPPY JUNE EVERYBODY!! Today I have practice this morning, I need to
call Olga and check about rehearsals, I need to email Marge (the coordinator
at the Manor House), write to MYA, teach Eileen a violin lesson, and practice
tonight.

So, that is my day..I may possible need to have some coffee today..haha just
kidding!!

Hi all! OOF..I'm tired!! Oh well, life must go on! Today I have lots of practice
to do, and I have lots of phone calls and things to set up (such as rehearsals
and whatnot).

There is so much to do before I leave..concerts, practice, hopefuly getting
packets set up for the group of next year's material (we will be doing the
complete Bach Concerti..should be fun!!), and just getting things ready
for everything..so much to think about!!

Well..musr go practice..don't want the day to begin without me!!

Helllooo!! Yesterday I biked to my granparent's house..it was really fun, and
definately not as hard as I had thought! Today I will bike too, but not all the
way there.

Today is kind of laid back, full of practice, but a little laid back, so that should
be fun..! Oh, and Happy Memorial Day..I hope that everyone is having a fun
day off of school and I hope the weather stays nice!!

Hi!! Yesterday was fun..tiring, but fun!! hehe Today I practice this morning,
ride my bike over to my grandpaprents house, and then have another reheasal
at night. So, it's not too bad..we'll have to see what I'm going to do about
getting home on the bike..whether my mom will put it in the car or I need
to ride home early..who knows??!!

Oh well, now I must commence to practice and such!!

Hello! Today is a bit goofy...meaning full...Balletone, Eileen has a violin
lesson since she cancelled on Wed. because of her mother having a baby
(Congratulation to the Ianonne's and their new baby girl, Susan Patricia),
a reheasal, lots of practice, and a big group rehearsal tonight!! woo..makes
me tired just thinking about it all...and of course a bike ride!!!

Well, I must go and paste (defeat/conquer) the day!!!

Hello hello! Yesterday was tiring...all rehearsals went really well
though, so thats good!

Today I have mmore practice and rehearsal tonight. I also have to
ride my bike untill McCord..which is farther than where I have been
going at Wildwood.

Yesterday I worked on the Mozart Quartet K 575 (which I will be
playing at Soundfest). I worked on the viola, first violin, and second...
the first movement of each..it was really fun!! Today I need to try
playing the Dvorak to put fingerings in it!

Well..I must run..the day calls!

Well, yesterday was filled but then both Eileen and Claire and Jon
couldn't come, so I practiced. Today on the other hand that will
not happen, and it is another busy day. I have practice this morning,
a longer than usual bikeride, a rehealsal with Olga at 4, and then
rehearsal tonight.

Hey!! Today is going to be a bit crazy!! I have practice this morning..
of all sorts..piano, singing, violin...and practica musica!! Then I have
my bike ride. Then later this afternoon I have Eileen coming for a
violin lesson. And then tonight a rehearsal with Claire and Jon...a
violin rehearsal for 'La Tempesta'!

Well..now I must leave you to pratice!!! hehe..my words of the day have
been odd, so they haven't fit in to any of the circumstances that I have
been talking about..sorry!

Hi!!! Today should be a fun day. I have my own practice this mornining,
I will take my bike ride (yesterday I couldn't go since it was pouring!), I
have Grace coming, and then practice again tonight..busy but it should
be good.

The concert is getting closer and closer and it is getting a bit scary!!
Oh well, I'm working hard so tha is the best I can do...Bach needs
a lot of work..so I really need to focus on it so that I can hopefully
play it in concert.

Well, I've got to fly butterfly!!

It is a normal day...though I really need to work hard on my Bach
today since I am having a lesson on it and rehearsing it this evening.

Wow!! Today I am definately extremely sore from yesterday and today!!
Oh well, the rehearsal last night went really well..we worked really hard
and it is really starting to sound better. I think everyone had a good
time.

Today has been fairly busy..I hav practiced and am cooking for my
grandmother's 80th birthday!!!

Hello all! Today is a bit crazy. I practice, then I have Belletone (which I am
going to with Grace), I need to take a bikeride, and then practice tonight.
So, it should be a fairly interesting day..with all the happenings.

Oh buddy...for tonight's rehearsal (or soiree..my word of the day meaning evening event)
we have lots of stuff to work on in the 'Tempesta', we must work on articulation,
making sure all bowings are together, work on a warm up before starting right in
with the piece, and all that fun stuff!

Oh well..tonight will be fun..but now I must leave to begin my hectic day!!

Hey! It turned out that even though it rained yesterday, I had my bike ride...I
got a bit wet, but oh well...I plan on going again today. I hope today it gets a
little warmer!!

Yesterday went extremely well with Olga, we got a lot of stuff done! She really
liked the idea of playing a recital at the Sanger Branch Library, so I need to speak
to the librarian to see if it would be possible in this coming week!

Today is a crazy practice day..lots of things to work on, but oh well, I like them all!

Well...I shall leave u with my word of the day, Grand Guingol, meaning dramatic

Hello! I am really disappointed...it is going to rain today, so I can't ride my bike
today so as to get rid of my zaftig figure (my word of the day..meaning full figure...
not sure if I used it right, but I have to use them!!)! Oh well...some other indoor
toning will have to do.

Today I have my piano lesson and violin and piano rehearsal with Olga over at
UT. We will be doing the Mozart and Bartok and stuff, so that should be fun!

OOHF..I am sore from my bike ride yesterday!! But no worries, I will be doing
the ride again today, though I hurt and am still v. v. tired!!

Yesterday's practice went really well with Grace and so did my practicing. We
can definately say that I'm never carousing (my word of the day meaning to
drink liquor freely and excessively)!! Today I will practice this morning, do my
bike ride after lunch, teach Eileen a violin lesson (she's really improving which
is good), and then have practice tonight..my day is a tad busy!!

Oh well...I am off to face the day!!

and back. Yup, today is full as usual.

Why hello! Today is going to be a bit crazy with practice and all, but I don't
really have any rehearsals today other than tonight.

I have a LOT of practice to do on my Bach though...and also I should touch
up my cadenza for 'La Tempesta'...it sounds okay, but it could be better!
But Bach is the one who needs lots of help and hard detail work.

Oh well..I will write more tomorrow..I'm really tired and not thinking very
straight!! Oh, and the word of the day is cronyism, meaning to favor your
"cronies" or friends. For example, lots of political people fall to cronyism
by appointing old friends in offices. On that note I will leave you..until
tomorrow!

Dundrearies. Hello, today is a little more mellow than yesterday. Yesterday's
bounty of rehearsals all went really well...but today I am a bit worn out.
Anyways, I am hoping that today will be a very productive practice day,
because there are soooo many pieces that I need to know by the concert
than I am beginning to get a bit overwhelmed!!!

Oh well..I'm not going to complain, but now I must bid you all farewell..
for practice must commence.

By the way..my word of today is dundrearies, and I couldn't use it very
well in today's diary, so I just decided to start out with that word. It
means 'long flowing sideburns'!!!!

Hello! This morning I have been listening to some later Vivaldi concertos,
and it is funny how sometimes he harks back to the Four Seasons!! (hark
back is my word of the day meaning referring to something in the past)

Today is going to be a crazy busy day...tons of rehearsals with separate
people and then the whole group...it is just going to be a bit hectic..but
that's the way I like it!!!

I must go..sooo many things to do before I get to hark back to bed tonight....
hehehe...that was not the right way to use the word, but I like it so much!!

OOOF....am feeling a bit tired today...I think that the semi-gloomy weather
may be a factor!!

Well, today I have my own practice and Eileen has a violin lesson in the late
afternoon! And that's pretty much my day.

I still need to call people for tomorrow...some people need to come early before
rehearsal...(the teo violas..so at least they have some rehearsal...I still need
to set up another one during the week).

Hey!! Today it is sooo not as warm as it has been the past couple of days....
its kind of sad!! hehe...but oh well...it will get warm again!

Today is a busy day...tiring...but fun. I have practice this morning...just me..

and a piano lesson..that should be fun! We will practice the Mozart and

Hello all! My rehearsals with Grace and Shawn yesterday went real well.
Lots of stuff to work on...but I still need to get the two together to work
on being really together.

Today I have a rehearsal with Claire...so that should be real good!

Not much to report...it's been pretty quiet around here! Tomorrow I have
a piano lesson with Olga and a violin rehearsal so that should be fun..
but it will be strange since we will probably be the only people in the
music building!!

Oh well...I must go...talk to you tomorrow..hopefully there will be some
exciting news to report!!

Hello! Today will be an odd day. I have already practiced some piano and
violin, but I won't be able to finish my practicing this morning...I haven't
done that in a while!!

Well, yesterday's rehearsal with Shawn went well...next week he, Grace,
and I will be having a viola rehearsal so that they can get their parts
together. Next week I have a piano lesson set up with Olga, plus a
violin and piano rehearsal right after that at which we are practicing
the Mazart Sonata K. 377 and the Bartok Roumanian Dances.
On Saturday I have set up another rehearsal with Adrian to work on
all the Vivaldi, and also I need to give him the Bach Invention that I
arranged for violin and cello.

Oh well, a lot to think about..I'll write again tomorrow with all the news!

Hi! Yesterday was a so-so day, nothing to go crazy about!! haha
I practiced, did all my work (though today I have a lot of stuff to
get done..like arrange a Bach Corale for string quartet and learn
to play it on the piano and sing at the same time!!), and had a rehearsal
with Grace. I have a rehearsal today with Shawn, so I need to find
a date and time that works for both of them so that we can have a viola
rehearsal..that would be really good for them.

Well...I'm off to begin a crazy daisy day!!! :)

Hey!!! I was supposed to get my electric violin bridge filed down
yesterday, but the man never called to confirm that he was at home
like he said he would. He told me to call to as to talk to him and then
come, but he didn't answer...v. v. disappointing..I was sooo
expecting to have it done by yesterday!!

Today is a bit busy. I have a lot of phone calls to do, like to Olga,
another one to Alice Peterson (the leader of a group called
Musica Anticua which I am interested in playing in), and other people
in the group to set up some more rehealsals. I wish I had orchestra
today though. I saw Bethany from orchestra yesterday at the cafe
and we talked a bit...but I miss the regularity of going on Tuesday
and Thursday every week.

My uncle and I are making some GREAT string excercises for bow
and stuff...it would be really cool to write them down so that I don't
forget..if I do that I will put it in here!

I must go...practice time..hehe!

Hellooo!! Yesterday's concert was really fun! It was very different
listening to this other quartet play the Bartok No. 3 though, because
I heard the Colorado play it last year, so it just took some getting
used to. The Bright Sheng piece that Merwin played was with a
pianist and a clarinetist and was called 'Tibetan Dances', it didn't
sound much like a Tibetan Dance (a little more Chinese), but it
sounded like fun, and I could definitely tell that Merwin was having
fun. It ended up that Cheryl was playing last night too, with David,
a cellist, an "organ", and a trombone. They played something
by an Italian 16th century composer called Castello. It was nice,
and I was extremely suprised to see Cheryl there!

Oh well, I must go practice! Things are getting soooo crazy!

HAPPY MAY!! I can't believe that it is already May..woah!! hehe

Today is a bit busy..I am hopefully going to this concert tonight where
my teacher, Merwin, will be playing a piece by Bright Sheng, and a
quartet will be playing Bartok's Quartet No. 3, just like the Colorado
Quartet played last year!! I think there will also be a Brahms Trio, but
I am less sure of what that is.

Well, I must go...I deeply apologize for not writing yesterday...I kept
thinking that I had, but I guess I really hadn't. BYE!

Hi!! The Stravinsky is a lot of fun to work on...hard work..and tons
of slw practice, but it is coming along. Today I will almost finish
the first movement (still to be worked on and improved of course)
so that I can move on to the second movement.

Today I have lots of calling to do and I will hopefully be bringing
my electric violin to Mr. Ball for him to shave off a bit of the
bridge.

Must go now...my life is in the fast lane at the mo!!

Hello! Well, the Stravinsky is going to be a huge undertaking, but
I really like the piece...so, whatev..it will go great...there are all of
these little sections that are hard because of the octave leaps, but after
practice (a huge amount) they should be fine. Today I have no orchestra,
it is sooooo sad. But I do have my piano lesson with Olga. It will
be sooo empty in the music building...because most people have already
done their juries and everything. :( ::tear::

HI!!! Yesterday's concert went really well, but the corwd wasn't
as big as I would have liked, so next semester I am going to have
to begin speaking to the tuba player and Mr. McNeela about
making better posters and doing more advertising in local
newspapers. There are probably tons of people that would
like to come and just don't know that it is happening..this is
definitely my next semester prject (along with making sure that
the website is going well).

It is sooo sad that orchestra is over. I am really going to miss it and
all the people that I have meet over the year! Some people are
graduating and they won't even be there next year...so that makes
it especially sad!! :(

Oh well...must be positive!! I GET TO START THE STRAVINSKY
TODAY!!!!!! YAY! I am starting to work on the Stravinsky
Divertimento (The Fairy'y Kiss...Tchaickovsky's imaginary life
story). Well...I must go now!! bye!!

then orchestra rehearsal early evening, and lastly, the concert

Hi! I'm back! I have a lesson with Merwin today and orchestra
rehearsal tonight at Doermann (for our concert tomorrow night
at Doermann at 8 o'clock). I also have lots of just practice (piano,
violin, and now solfeggio).

Well...I am going to put a review in here of a very rude review that
I read about the Emerson Quartet, but I will write it in later today...I
need to go practice!!

Hello all! This weekend I won't be writing in my diary again until
Sunday because I will be out of town, so don't worry, I'm not
leaving y'all!!

Last night I watched the weirdest DVD ever. It was a rehearsal for
a CD of the English Baroque Soloists with John Eliot Gardiner as
the conductor. In the time span of one day of rehearsal (seperately,
not even together) they recorded a Bach Cantata (No. 63 to be
precise) and I thought it was v. v. strange. I mean it is such a
pretty piece and they just practiced one day and recorded...they
didn't even perform it in front of a live audience! I know that this
is how thw world works...but it's not right if you ask me..its like
cheating!!

Anyways...I must go practice now...!!!

of practicing, as usual, I have a piano lesson, orchestra rehearsal, and
then a rehearsal tonight. It may not sound like much, but let me tell you...
it is!! :)

Hello! Yesterday was one of the last orchestra rehearsals. I only have a
couple more, one on Thursday, Monday, and then Tuesday is our
last rehearsal and concert until August. It is sooo sad!! Anyways, that
went well yesterday. We are almost ready for the concert, just need
a little more work, but I think we will be ready by next Tuesday!!

Today I really need to practice piano really hard, I am not completely
ready for my lesson tomorrow. She wanted me to do a lot on the
Invention 4 and scales and arpeggios and things. I have done most
of it but haven't finished it yet!

Also, I am still working really hard on the Roumanian Dances. Tomorrow
at my piano lesson I need to remember to set up a Mozart rehearsal
with Olga...oh goodness, so much to do so little time!!

Hello all! Today I have Grace coming in the afternoon and then orchestra
tonight. In the morning I will be practicing the Bartok Roumanian
Dances, and in between practice and Grace I will definately
be sitting outside enjoying this beautiful weather!!!!

a lesson, exercise class, lots of practice (need to get the Roumanian
Dances really good), and all of that jazz!!

Hello all. Today I have a Gala concert at UT in Dooerman Theater at
3:00. It will be fun..every group from the music dept. gets 10 mins.
to perform and we all play different things. The orchestra will be
playing the first movement of the Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 3
with Aura S. as our soloist!! It should be fun...and even a nifty
reception afterward.. so if anyone wants to come, it is welcome to
everyone free of charge!!

Hi! Yesterday was fun! The Midori concert was lots of fun to go to. She
changed the program, so instead of playing Shumann (I was disappointed
I had the part and everything) she played the unaccompanied Bach Sonata
No. 2. It was all fun to hear, but I couldn't hear the violin very well, I wish
she would have played out just a little bit more. I even got her to sign the
Ravel after the concert...yay..so now I have a Ravel Sonata violin part
with Midori's signature..hehe :)

Well, today I have a piano lesson and then will walk over to Dooermann
for a string sectional/rehearsal for Sunday's concert with the pianist. It
should be a good concert, so if anyone want to come...Dooermann at
3 o'clock on Sunday April 17 and there will be a marvey reception
afterward!!

Well, I must go practice some some...hehe..lesson today!! :)

Hi! Today is the Midori concert!! YAY! I have to make sure I have all of
my scores and parts ready to bring to the concert!! hehe..I like watching
the parts while the people play..it is really fun (especially if I don't know
the piece). I only hav the scores though to the Mozart, Ravel, and Schumann.

Howdy!! Today is a nice and full day..just the way I like it! I have morning
practice (my mom will be in Ann Arbor), I have Grace coming this afternon,
and tongiht I have orchestra!! I plan on walking, so I am v. excited!!

Guess what?? I just got an email saying that I made it into Soundfest!! yay..
They said they had a lot of violins audition and stuff...so yay!! I am
v. v. V. happy about it!! I loved it last year..and a couple of my friends
are going back.

I am currently working a lot on the Partita No. 2 of the Bach solo works..it
is sooo exciting..they are not perfected, but I have played practicaly the
ENTIRE piece other than the second half of the Gigue (which I will be
working on and putting onto the comp. today)!!

Well, I must go..the day beckons!!

Hello. Today is a tad busy. I practice all morning...I need to work really
hard on Mozart, Bach, and the Svechk (or however you spell it) for Merwin,
I have a violin lesson, and then a rehearsal tonight. It doesn't sound
like much but I'm a bit overwhelmed, so it does to me. It is all fun,
so whatev.

I really need to do some piano now, I missed yesterday (shame on
me)!!

I am going to go and hear the Youth Chamber Orchestra at Start.

Hello. Well, yesterday was fun. I went to piano ealry so that I would
have time to walk over to Doerman Theater. The rehearsal went well,
and after we were done rehearsal the Diamonds piece we just had a
regular string rehearsal. After that there was a bit of a break between
the rehearsal and the concert. We were the first on the program. I wish
we had played more though, we only got to play the one piece, the other
groups got to play more.

I asked Ms. Walker if she had any violin pieces and she said that she
wrote one Sonata for violin and piano, but no concerto. I also got
to speak to Mr. McNeela very briefly about soloing with the orchestra.
He seemed interested, so I am going to talk to him about it again on
Tuesday.

Well, I must go...time is precious!

Hello all!! Yesterday went well...though today I am really tired...must
be because of the humidity!! It is crazy humid...everything feels a bit
soggy!! Anyways...today I have a long afternoon! I have a piano
lesson (which I will be walking to), an orchestra rehearsal, and then
an orchestra concert. It will be fun though, I think we'll do really
well too...the piece isn't that hard. The problem is that we only get to play
one piece..allthese other groups are playing lots and we only have
one piece to play. A bit unfair if you ask me.

Hello all! Yesteray orchestra went really well, Ms. Walker was a nice
woman. She will be working with us again on Thursday night before
the concert. The Thursday night concert is in Dooerman Theater at
7:30, and we are the first group o play.

Today I need to work really hard. I have to work on and memorize the
new cadenza in the Vivaldi Op. 8 No. 5. I also have to finish working
on all the details on the Mozart K. 377. Practica Musica must be
practiced today, and so much more...so I should probably go and
get a move on it!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week...it is Wedesday, so we are
all half way through!!

Yesterday seemed like a busy day, but there isn't really anything to
report. I practiced violin and piano, I worked on Practice Musica,
and am frantically trying to finish up my Tchaikovsky. I am pretty
much done, but I have some finishing touches.

Today I have a rehearsal with Grace and I have orchestra tonight.
Tonight at orchestra Gywneth Walker (the composer of which we
are playing a piece) is coming and working on the piece with us.
So, this morning I must remind myself to also practice the piece
along with all my solo work!!

I still hate the Daylight Savings Time!!

Yesterday the Vermeer was amazing and it was soooo much fun to go
hear them. I even got to talk to some of the players, but others were
having their attention hogged by who else other than attention hungry
violinists...we're a rare breed! haha

Anyways, today I have a lesson with Merwin, and a whole lot of practicing.
I also need to finish up my Finale work of the Tchaikovsky Cappricio
Italien.

I hate Daylight Savings Time!! It is sooo horrible!! I feel so out of sync!!

Yesterday's concert was fun to go to. I saw Claire and Anna there as well,
hearing how our piece was being played. Mark O'Conner played his
American Seasons the first half, and then the conductor, Scott Yoo
played the Four Seasons on the second half...by memory and with
him as conductor. He played it a lot differently then we do, and his
tempi were a bit too fast (going for the Niegel Kennedy as my mom says).
It was fun to go though. I tried to go to a rehearsal, but Cheryl wasn't
playing and there wasn't going to be a rehearsal that day.

So, well...I can't believe I'm 16!! woo hoo! Yesterday was fun..and today
I have a lot of work to do, so I must go!! BYEE!

Hello all! Today is my birthday...yay...I turn 16!!

Anyways, today I have a full day planned. I have practitice, and then
tonight I am going to see Marl O'Conner in concert. He will be playing
the Vivaldi Four Seasons and the American Seasons which O'Conner
wrote himself. It all sounds like fun..yay!!

Well, not much more news..I will soon be starting the Inventio No. 4
for two voices on piano..which I am v. happy about since I love that
piece.

Hello all! I am back. I tried, but was too nervous to post my diary while
away. I apologize. I have been told that I can easily delete entire
websites if I do anything wrong, and I just got too scared to do it!!

My trip was pretty good. I practiced in the morning like any normal day,
played piano (I almost have the enitire Mozart Sonata that I'm doing!),
and did Practica Musica. Just normal stuff, nothing out of the ordinary.

Today is a busy day, piano lesson and orchestra and lots of practice for
both....we have an orchestra concert in ONE WEEK!! I didn't realize until
today!!

Hello all! Yesterday was such an amazing hit!! It was soooo fun...we
were all confident and played sooo great!! YAY!! We got a standing
ovation and all these people from UT orchestra including Mr. McNeela
(orchestra conductor) and Olga (my piano teacher) came!

Today I am off to my dad's house for a couple days. I will try to write my
diary there on the laptop, but if I can't figure it out I won't mess things
up! Hopefull though, I will be able to!!

Well, I must go and do some piano...even after a concert nothing must get
out of my fingers!!

One more day until the concert...ahh!! :) Today I have Eileen coming
for a lesson and then after that we have a dress rehearsal for the
concert tomorrow. To tell you the truth, I am a bit nervous about
tomorrow!!

Well, anyways, orchestra went really well yesterday, we are getting
better....I am really upset that I have to miss the next two rehearsals.
The one tomorrow I am fine with, but then when I go to my dad's
I have to miss another one, and two in a row is a lot to miss!!

Hello all, two more days until the Wildwood Concert. This morning
Linda and I will practice the Minuetto and Finale from the Suite
Italienne to do as an encore at the concert. I also have orchestra
practice tonight, plus all the practice, and all the computer stuff. I
am still trying to write the Capriccio Italienne on the computer
in Finale and I have theory (Practica Musica) to do, so today
is fairly full.

Phew, one down and one more to go. It is tiring playing the Four
Seasons in a row..bomm, boom, boom, boom!! It was really
fun though, and I think it will be great on Thursday.

The concert went soooo great! At first I was nervous, but once we
got into it, it was sooo fun and great. The house was packed, every
seat was full. Our friends came to support us, and we all had a jolly
time!! Oh, but now I am exhausted!!!

This is really short, and I'm sorry, but I'm going to go take a nice loong
bath...maybe with bubbles!! haha

Today is the day before the concert. I am getting the last touches on
everything, my piece, the house, the cake. Everything must be finished
today. It is all a bit nerve-racking!!

Eileen is coming in a bit to practice, and Shawn is coming later, and then

The concert grows nearer and nearer. I am sooo tired from yesterday,
i just can't stop yawning!! My mom went to the chamber concert
last night that UT put on, she said it was pretty good, and she got
to see some of the people that I always describe in orchestra.

Today I have many things to do, but Cliff is coming tonight, so that
is pretty much my only rehearsal tonight.

Hello all! Yesterday went well. Orchestra was fun, but we are
doing this piece for the new music festival and I don't really
like it. There is no rythm to it or anything, it is just supposed to
be "flashy". I guess I should play it more before making such
a firm decision, but at the moment I don't like it.

Hello all!! Well, things are a bit crazy today, and this is why am
writing so late in the day. The keyboard wasn't working this
morning so my mom had to go buy a new connection for it.

Also, I have Grace cominh today for a rehearsal and an orchestra

Yesterday was sooo amazing. The Beethoven was sooo amazing!
He is soo good..and I now have a signed Beethoven violin concerto
part. I couldn't get a picture because he was practically out the door
by the time I got to him, because he had said he was tired or something.
But that's okay, I og tot see him play and get his autograph. I was
wonderful.

Well, that was the highlight of my day yesterday. Not much else heppened
that could even try to compare. Well, now I mist go practice!

Itzahk Perlman today!! yay!! I can soooo not wait...it is going to
be soo amazing!! I still odn't know what to wear yet though, it
has to be fancy, but it can't be inpractical because it is FREEZING
outside!! :) Oh well, I'll just have to go closet/drawer rummaging
to find the perfect outfit!!

Well, that is the exciting news about my day!! I must go now, I need
to begin piano practice...I have the Mozart Sonata in C major to
make better..it is still so section-y. I can't seem to get it all together
very well..but trust me that I will..preferably before my Thursday

Hello. Today will calm down a bit. I got everything done yesterday,
but it was just a bit hectic.

Today I have Balletone and practice, and that is pretty much it.

I can't wait until tomorrow though, my mom and I get to go see

Hello all. Today is going to be crazy. I woke up stressed out already.
I have to make all these parts, call people to make sure they have
all the materials and are coming, and so much more it is hard to believe.

Well, anyways, that about sums up my day. My mom and I were going
to go to Ann Arbor to have my bow fixed and look at new bows to
try out, but that will have to wait until Friday.

Hello. Yesterday was a v. v. long day. Feel exhausted...I practiced
all morning, I practiced piano like a maniac in the afternoon to get
the piece that Olga wanted to hear, I had a piano lesson, I had
orchestra, and then I had a violin rehearsal.

Hello all! Well, yesterday went pretty well...Eileen is doing great on
Turkey in the Straw, and she really likes it too, that's always a good
thing!!

The concerts are getting nearer and I'm getting a bit nervous...but nothing
to worry about..it's going really well in practice.

Today I have practice in the morning, piano lesson, orchestra string
rehearsal (last rehearsal before spring break :(, and then a string
rehearsal for Vivaldi.

Hello! Wow..yesterday the orchestra concert went pretty well. Not as
well as the rehearsals...which was a bit disappointing, but there were
only little problems..nothing major. The strings have a sectional though
on Thursday, and we will begin playing the Capiccio Italienne by
Tchakovsky (I don't think that is spelled right!!).

So, today I am diving Eileen a lesson and practicing a whole ton..scales
and what not for the Vivaldi.

Now I must go...the piano calls to be played!!

Happy March! Today is the UT orchestra concert!! fun fun..I thing
that we're going to sound pretty darn good...as long as everybody
COUNTS in the Bernstein!!! :)

The rehearsal yesterday with Anna and Adrian went REALLY well
and I think that it is really helpful for Adrian..he's not only learning
what Anna does, but also just having a good time!

OH MY GOODNESS, Chicago was sooo much fun! The concert was
AMAZING...I also found the BEST sheet music shop ever!! It was
incredible...it felt sooo extremely nice to be in a city!! My mom and I
walked everywhere, all up Michigan Ave., to go to coffee shops, to
go to the concert with Gil Shaham and the Chicago Symphony.

Gil Shaham was sooooo great!! He smiled soo much while playing
and resting..sooo fun to watch. The only thing that I was (and still
am a bit) disappointed about that was when I got backstage after
the concert to get him to sign my Dvorak Concerto score and one
of his CD covers he has already left...HOW could he have already
left???!!! Well, I guess I will give him the benefit of the doubt..maybe
he wasn't feeling well.

Well...today life goes back to normal..no trips for awhile...just Toledo.
Oh well..I must go practice some piano! BYEE

WOO HOO!! CHICAGO HERE I COME!!! haha ..I'm soo excited.
In about half and hour my mom and I are leaving for the Windy City
to hear Gil Shaham play the Dvorak Concerto with the Chicago
Symphony! Oh my goodness..I can't wait to get there!

I won't be able to write tomorrow becasue I will still be out of town,
but on Monday I will be back at it full force...don't anyone worry.
Rehearsals are also beginning full force..is is going to be mad...but
fun, I promise!!

Hello all! There are only four more days left until my mom and I go to
Chicago to see Gil Shaham and the Chicago Symphony!! YAY!!

Yesterday went fairly well..orchestra was fun!! We started out with
Bernstein and then Mr. Boyd came in to practice the Liszt with us..
that one is the hardest to get together because the piano has all these
cadenzaa and then we have to come in. Also because our orchestra
parts don't have all the repeates and extra measures that Mr. Boyd's
part has...frustrating!! hehe..fun though!!

rehearsal day. I practiced and all in all had a nice day filled with work

Yesterday went really well..lots of fun once I actually got up to perform!!
Today I begin working on some new pieces, Mozart Sonata No. 377
and the Divertimento by Stravinsky..lots of fun!!

I got a new CD yesterday from my uncle by Isabelle Faust playing
the Dvorak Concerto. She is this new AMAZING violinist in
Europe..v. v. popular. And it is good that she is playing the
Dvorak, because that is what my mom and I are going to hear
in Chicago with Gil Shaham.

Hello all. Today is the Monday Musicale concert. I'll be playing the
Suite Italienne by Stravinsky with Linda Smith on Piano in the Little
Theater at the Toledo Museum of Art at 2:00 PM.

A bit nervous...but only because I hate sitting and waiting for my turn to
play and having to listen to the others. It just makes me a bit nervous.
I also feel bad because I don't get a chance to really listen to what the
other people are playing.

Hello all. Today is the day before my concert tomorrow..the one for
Monday Musicale. yup yup...it's at the Museum in the Little Theater.

Today I also have a toning class and a rehearsal tonight...along with
practice during the daytime. Also I am going to hear some of the
Concerto Competition (Olga is playing and so is a cellist named
Jason from orchestra) at the University. That will be fun...I have
never heard Olga perform. Of course there are also many other
pianists and vocalists playing, but I don't really know them..oh
well.

the wazoo...hehe!! Today is a little less intense on the rehearsals, but
I need to practice a lot and do a new recording of the Stravinsky.

Gettin a little bit better...this is SO horrible! I thought that I had passed
safely through this winter without getting sick and look at what happened.
Today I am going through with my rehearsals, but my body is doing
everything it can to protest, but what can I do?? I can't cancel rehearsals!!
There is orchestra tonight as well!!

My strings should get here this afternoon. I called and ordered them yesterday
through Shar's. I thought that my mom was going to Ann Arbor and that she
could pick them up, but it turns out that the training course she was helping
out at has today off, so I had to get the strings overnighted here!!

I have not started the day very well...I feel as though I have been run
over by a truck...not a fun feeling. Okay, enough complaining..I have

Hello all! Yesterday went v. nicely!! I practiced all morning, went to
Balletone, practiced some more before rehearsal, and then had a rehearsal.
All in all it was a nice day!

This morning sounds the same way...practice then Balletone!! haha I am
really liking this calss!! TOns of fun..and feels wonderful! My legs are
more muscular and my balance is really great (still working on the one
side...my left, which is less balanced then the right!!).

IT'S OFFF!!! I have put my Interlochen Cd and Application in the
overnight to Interlochen....should arrive on MOnday!!! YAY!! Now
I need to figure out how to make this video recording for ther MYA
camp in Chicago, send my Soundfest application off...and maybe a
couple more...for fun ofcourse, and I am done..it will be out of my
hands!! woo hoo!!

Hello all...phew yesterday was CRAZY...but v. fun though!!

My uncle has made me the audition CD, which today I have to get ready
to send off to Interlochen...I'll have to send it overnight. I still need to fill out
the for and get everything ready..adn then it will be off and out of my
hands!!

Today I have a lesson with Cheryl since she cancelled on Wednesday.
My uncle is coming over tonight as well. My next recital is next Sunday
for Monday Musicale, and my next audition taped needs to be video
recorded, so I need to figure this all out!!! ahhh!

Hello all!! Eileen got a 7 yesterday..I'm so proud! A 7 means that she
practiced every day of the week. No we are going to work on the amount
of time she practices. She will have an egg timer on when she practices
so that she knows for sure how long she's practicing.

Well, today I have Linda coming to practice Suite Italliene, a piano
lesson with Olga, string section orchestra rehearsal, and then to
finish the day off Claire will be coming tonight.

Hello all! I'm almost there..yesterday I spent the entire afternoon
recording for my audition tape...fun, yet tiring!!! Then when I
went to see Cliff we started doing the mixing of the music (like
adding some reverb, since my living room has the acoustic of a
"cement shoebox" as my uncle would say).

Today I have a lesson with Merwin, Adrian is coming, and practice.
Mom has her yoga class today, so when I take my ten min. from
practicing I can go into the living to do a lye-down or whatever
pose they are working on...fun fun, cannot wait!!

Hello all! I hope that everyone's weekend is going smoothly and
luxuriously...haha!! Yesterday I practiced all morning, went to
Balletone, practiced some more, did some French (I mention this because
it was very fun and relaxing and recommend it to everyone!!), and
then had group practice at night (which went suprisingly well!).

Today I have practiced and will practice more after I write this, I am
going to Balletone, and now must do some piano!! I hope everyone
conquers the day..I sure am hoping to. By the way, I also recommend
going to a class liek Balletone or Jazzercise to calm the body..it is sooo
wonderful... I absolutely love doing my classes Saturday, Sunday,
and Monday!!

Hello all!! Oh my goodness...still not done with recording, but oh well...
yesterday was fun. I prepped for all three movements of the Mozart like
all day!!! I was pretty worn out bye 11:30 PM!!

But today is a new day...I have a Balletone, practice before and after
that, some recording of the Mozart, and then group rehearsal tonight.
It's all planned out!! haha

YAY!! I can't wait for it to be over, then I can send in the tape and see
what happens...after I'm done with the tape I need to start working really
hard on the pieces for the concert in March and I will be starting the
Concertino..that will be really fun...I've been working on my bouncy bow
a bit because I need it a bit for the Berstein in orchestra.

Well, I must go...the piano is calling to be practiced!!

Hello all! Wow..today it going to be a crezy day! This morning Linda
is coming to practice. After that I need to learn and memorize the cadenza
for the thrid movement of the Mozart Concert. After that I need to practice
piano because I have a piano lesson later this afternoon. Straight after piano
I have orchestra string sectional. Then, last but not least Claire is coming
over tonight to practice together. Actually, that isn't all, tonight I am going
to begin recording for my audition tape. Well...today will be fun!! Keeping
busy is always nice!

Hello all! I hope everyone had a wonderful first day of February!! Today
I have a lesson with Merwin, Eillen has a lesson, and then practice with
my uncle. We will prbably be recording Mozart and stuff for my audition
tapes, so wish me bunches and bunches of luck..the recordings always
make me a bit nervous!!

Goodbye January..hello February!! The first month of 2005 has certainly
gone by quickly and full of activity!!

Well, yesterday Merwin had to reschedule my lesson to Wednesday
because he had all these rehearsals for the concerts that teh symphony
had yesterday at the Happy Badger. I had the prectice with Adrian
though, and it went really well.

Today, Linda will come this morning to practice the Stravinsky with me,
Grace is coming this afternoon, and I have orchestra this evening!! I
think Mr. McNeela will be showing the movie of 'On the Waterfront"
(not all of it..just parts) so that we can hear the music..I'm sooo excited!!

Well..I must go...piano awaits, and Linda will be here in an hour and a half!!

Hello all!! Let me begin by telling you about yesterday. I practiced all
morning, went to another Balletone class, went to the TYO side-by-
side concert, and went to my grandpearents house where I went
skiing with my uncle (which I am now a bit sore from...but that may
be a

ixture of Balletone and skiing..hehe). It was a good day.

Today I must practice all morning while my mom has her yoga class
in the living room, have a lesson with Merwin, practice some more, and
have a rehearsal with Adrian. A fairly long day..but hey, I'm used to these
now!!

Hello all!! Yesterday was very nice...calm yet productive. I pra

ticed
all morning before going to Balletone (which was sooo nice!!). I did
some more violin and piano in the afternoon. At night I had a rehearsal
with part of the group to go through soem things!! All in all it was a
nice day. I hope everyone had a great day as well!! Today I will be
going to another Balletone class and then later in the aftrenoon I will
be going to the Youth Orchestra Side-by-Side concert with the
Toledo Symphony..I'm sooo excited!!

Hello all!! Yesterday went by pretty fast...it's a bit of a blur! Today I
have my Balletone

lass at 11:30...fun fun..I'm getting into shape!!
Tonight I have a rehearsal with some of the other kids from the
group...my mom has a workshop for Marylynn (one of her students)
and her students. So during that time I will practicer some more and get
stuff done!!!! This doesn't sound as high powered of a day as usual....
but it is far from leisurely, so everything will be okay!! :)

Again, piano awaits...I shall conquer!!! haha

I need to work really hard on my Mozart again with the Music
Minus One CD. I need to all the little fast passages perfect and keep
the tempo perfect..those are my two goals of the day!!! Wish me luck!!

y!! Yesterday went really well, and today I have a crazy busy day!!

at UT, then I have a piano lesson with Olga, then orchestra string

Hello all! Yesterday was a productive day. My rehearsal with Linda
was very good. I also had a great practice...I practiced Bach and Mozart.
After that in the afternoon Grace (the new violist) came over to practice.
It was really fun and very productive.
And then at night I had orchestra. It was fun! We did almost all
On the Waterfront by Berstein. Then at the very end we did some
Don Giovanni. Mr. McNeela said that he will bring in the movie for

aterfron t next week for us to watch!!!YAY!!! So, that was
yesterday. TodayI will be practicing, then my violin lesson with Cheryl, and then
Eileen will come for her lesson late this afternoon. I hope to take some
pictures so that I can put one on my website. I didn't take any at
orchestra today because I got a little nervous taking pictures,
but I definitely will on Thursday and next week. Well, I must run!!

Hello everyone!! Yesterday went really well!! I had a great practice in
the morning. During my ten minute intervals I joined in for a couple
minutes of my mom's Alexander-Yoga class which is in our living
room every Monday morning. It is going really well by the way!!
Then I had a violin lesson with Merwin which went well...we did
the Mozart Concerto #4. After that Adrian (the new cellist) came
for a rehearsal and we went through Tenpenny, Killiecranky, and
'La

empesta' by Vivaldi. We had a great rehearsal...very productive!!

Well, today I have Linda coming to do Stravinsky in about an hour,
Grace (the new violist) is coming at this afternoon, and the I have
full orchestra rehearsal!! I must run...byeee!!

Hello again!! Well, today is a really cold day...trust me I was really awakened
when I went outside to run...I mean the wind is brutal!!! :)

Anyways

here is a slideshow of me and my hands while doing the Bach
Chaccone. The photos are really cool...one can see all of the things that
the hand does when doing quadruple stops!! To view the slideshow

I have a lesson today with Merwin and later on in the aftrenoon I have Adrian,
a new cellist coming for a rehearsal. After that I will be going over to see Cliff,
my uncle, and we are going to go skiin

Hello! Life has been busy, but not too busy yet. I am doing piano lessons
once a week with Olga out at UT again. Orchestra has also started up again,
so that always is fun! My Mozart Concerto No. 4 is coming along real
nice...almost ready for summer camp auditions!! yay...I absolutely can't
wait for summer camp, it is always SOOO much fun!! :)

Come back tomorrow and see a recently found picture of Mozart as an
older man...he looks sooo different...remember to check it out!!!!

Well, it is a new year, let's hope it is filled with wonderful things for
everyone!! So much has happened since I last wrote that I don't even
know where to begin. The concerts in December went great after a
lot of hard work. They were very rewarding and fun for everyone
(I hope)! After that was the holidays. They were fairly uneventful for me.
Th

new year has now come and gone with no major events. Orchestra
has now started up again and we are preparing for our March concert.
I am preparing for summer camp auditions, which I will be playing the
Mozart 4th concerto and the Sravinsky Suite Italienne. The group will
be starting up normal rehearsals soon, so everything will be back to
normal. There haven't really been any life changing things happen

but there has beeen a lot of hard work.
