April Creative Writing

"Oh, Old One, I have thought long and hard about this task coming upon me. This book that I hold, Beauty and the Beast, means the world to me, and I want someone who will love and cherish it just as you and I have done. I have searched far and wide for the person that I will pass the book to, and I think I have come upon her. I have never seen her face, but the way she moves, with the elegance of a dancer, is all I needed to know that she is a girl. She intrigued me when I first saw her. Something about the happiness and joy in her personality triggered the thought that she may be the one. I got up from where I was sitting at an outdoor cafe' and began to follow her and her group of friends. She seems so perfect, Old One; she has every quality that I have been searching for.

"I have been following her for about three weeks now, and I am certain of her being perfect for the book that we hold so dear to our hearts. She has an imagination, and she would not find the job of being a book keeper odd or strange--she would probably be delighted!

"Here are some random facts that I have learned about our girl. She absolutely loves to shop. No matter what day, she is up for a nice day of shopping. She is a bit insecure about her looks even though by the way she is treated she must be beautiful! I know not of her features though, for I have not yet seen her face. She has a wonderful sense of humor and loves to laugh at every opportunity. She has many friends, which is very well, for if she did not, she would not have as many chances to laugh. One of her favorite places to be is the beach. She loves the sun and could bathe in it all day with a group of her friends. This is her major outdoor activity. I'm not anywhere near saying that she is lazy, but she is just not a big sports person. She likes to be outside walking or playing tennis, but that is the extent of her outdoors sports abilities. She also enjoys relaxing things such as yoga and dance.

"From my observations she seems like just the person for the job of being keeper for our sacred book, but tell me Old One, you must tell me if you think she is the right one. I know that I must be the chooser, but it is always very relaxing to know that someone else agrees with my choice. She is a wonderful girl, and the thought of her being book keeper is very assuring. She seems tough enough to keep her book secret, and she would cherish it, which is what I would truly love. I believe that is also something that you would love, but I do not know. Sometimes it is hard for me to read your expressions, but all I know is that she is the one. Now I must figure out a way to tell her. How can I tell her Old One? Must I walk up to her or should I do it in a more secretive way, like with codes and little pieces of paper? I must think long and hard, for it is the only time I shall have the chance to do this. My life will soon be over, and I must do nothing wrong. Everything must be perfect.
